How he became

"Binns." A cold voice said. That voice made his heart turn to ice.
"What do you want?" Binns answered him.
"I know you know, and if you even think of telling anyone, well you may find something nasty in your evening drink, be warned Binns."
With that the other professor turned and walked away leave Professor Binns trembling in his wake.

I need to tell someone, it can't go on like this
he told himself over and over at night. Finally he gave up, sleep wasn't going to come to him tonight, so he took up his pen and began to write in his diary.Dear Diary
I am so scared. He knows that I saw him killing the headmaster. What am I to do? He has threatened to kill me if I tell anyone, but this is killing me! Oh god help me!

The deputy headmaster, Richard Dippet looked at the small piece of parchment that had been handed to him, well left on his desk.
"My god." He whispered in shock for the note told him everything about the murder of the previous headmaster.

Professor Binns took a sip of his night time drink. He was sitting by the fire in the staff room, taking his bed time drink of brandy.
His body began to seize up, his muscles started to tremble and soon he went into a full-blown spasm. Five minutes later, he was dead.
He got up, out of his body and looked around. There in the corner smiling was his murderer.
"I told you not to mess me about Binns." His assailant said with a sickly smile.
Binns would remain a ghost until he could bring himself to tell someone about who the murderer of the headmaster was and who his own murderer was.
