The world of dragons and shape shifters were supposed 'stories', but only because humans didn't want their children getting mixed up with the immortal world. Humans told stories about then that shape shifters were not meant to be in these worlds, truth be told, humans are the one that do not belong here.

The gods placed the shape shifters and predators to get rid of the human race, but the humans were much more intelligent than the gods expected. Humans made guns, in attempt to defy the gods and kill them. Few gods remain now, living among their race. Humans are still trying to remove the creatures of the forest to create their cities and destroy the gods that prevent them from doing so.

Though, the gods brought life to this world and without the gods, what would happen to this world? Would it crumble and fall into ruin like many other worlds that are seen as lifeless and dead planets? Those planets had life at one time; humans also lived there and wiped all gods from them. The result was planet ruin, the planet slowly fell apart.

The gods of other planets were furious and sought ways to rid the humans from their surfaces. Though, the same resulted in ruin. Earth is the remaining planet that has life. The gods are searching for ways to trick the humans and make them understand the gods must remain here or else no one will be able to live.

Then they created shape shifters to watch the humans, the gods also created Grim Reapers, whom are another kind of shape shifter, in order to find a way to keep humans from destroying them all. So far, the mission that they were ordered hasn't been finished. Although, the gods are aware of few humans who wish for lands of forest and fields.

And those humans are what the gods have been looking for. It's just a matter if they can track down those humans without being revealed and killed.

War broke out when they searched; they were found out and fled. Shape shifters and Grim Reapers fought the humans hand to hand. The war went on for years with no victor. However, the shape shifters have the upper hand of being immortal.

The gods searched for a solution to the pointless war, sending a Grim Reaper out to find it.
