Breaking out, breaking in.
War's destruction speeds from space.
Death rides in, upon a rocket.
Slavery swims in sludgy pools.
And nobody ever knew.
How could this happen?
How blind are we?
Human ignorance and human pride
Blocking minds from comprehention.
And nobody ever knew.
The sky splits; explodes before my eyes.
Ships fly by, shooting. Always shooting.
The sky is burnt. Laced with black.
And it smells like flesh.
How could nobody ever know?
Young children cannot breath the air.
They suffocate and die. No problem.
At least, it doesn't phaze the slugs.
No deaths matter anymore. They've as good as won.
Nobody saw it coming.
Now we swim in our own blood.
And I wonder "How could we be such fools?"
But we were. We were invaded; destroyed.
And nobody ever knew.
And now I watch the world cave in.
War's destruction speeds from space.
Death rides in, upon a rocket.
Slavery swims in sludgy pools.
And nobody ever knew.
How could this happen?
How blind are we?
Human ignorance and human pride
Blocking minds from comprehention.
