Discaimer: I don't own The Suite Life series.

Author's note: This is simply a very short oneshot inspired by the episode 'Nugget of History'.

His first A

Zack Martin hands in his assignment to Mr Steve Duatch, the History teacher of Buckner Middle School.

"Is this supposed to be a joke?" says Mr Duatch in a hard serious tone.

"No. What do you mean?" says Zack.

"This man, Hugh Mulzac, you've written about, it sounds like one of those false names you usually sign documents with." says Mr Duatch.

"That's no fake stuff, sir. He was a real man, the first guy to command a US ship with an integrated crew in the 40s." says Zack.

"I'm sure there was no Captain Hugh Mulzac in the Navy at the time. The United States Navy did not have an integrated crew until a few years later when Truman was in office as our president." says Mr Duatch.

"Actually right 'cause I'm not talking about the Navy. I'm talking about the Merchant Marines which in war-time was under military jurisdiction." says Zack.

"Don't make up information, Zack Martin. You'll get a D on this." says Mr Duatch.

"I don't. Look at this..." says Zack as he open his backpack and pull out an old black and white photo and hands it to Mr Duatch.

"Holy God, a photo of a Captain Hugh N. Mulzac and a fully integrated US MM crew in uniforms who salutes him after the maiden voyage of the SS Booker T. Washington...taken in 1942." says Mr Duatch in huge surprise.

"Yes, sir." says Zack.

"Zack...I'm sorry. You are correct. I give you...an A." says Mr Duatch.

"Wow! Thanks." says a happy Zack.

"You've earned it." says Mr Duatch.

"I guess so." says Zack.

The End.
