I walked to my classroom Monday morning. When I got to the classroom, I sat in my regular seat. But there was someone new, a boy. Standing there. I thought back. I didn't remember the teacher saying something about a new student. Then I remembered. She said there was going to be a foreign exchange student. From France, I think. Just then, he sat down. Next to me! I was so excited I said "Hi! I'm Kelsey!" without thinking. He said " Hi! I is Mike! "I guess he doesn't speak much English." I thought to myself. But still, that didn't matter. He was next to ME. I might just melt from all the excitment. I couldn't breathe. "Is you okay?" Mike asked. "Yeah..." I said. "Good" Mike said. "Kelsey, why don't you answer the question for us." The teacher said with a fake smile on her face. "Sure..." I said. "What is the question again?" I asked. "Stupid kids" the teacher mumbled to herself. Just as the teacher ws about to yell at me, the bell rang. "Ring!" "Saved by the bell" I thought. I grabbed my books and ran out the door. Down the hall I ran. Out the door. When I got to my car, I hopped in and drove away. When I got home, it was quiet. Mom was still at work, and Andy, my sister, was probably out with her friends. I sat down on the couch. I decided to start my homework. "Ugh, I just hate homework." I said to myself. "3 over 5..." I mumbled. After about five minutes on my homework, I just gave up. I went to my room and started daydreaming about Mike. "What an odd name for a french boy." I thought to myself. "But he is still so cute." I got bored in my room and started playing the piano. I thought I had a new song coming. "This is the time, its the time that everything will happen..." I started to sing. I worked on the song until my mom came home. She asked me how my day was, what we leared in school, and all that normal stuff. I told her that there was a foreign exchange student from france. Later I went to bed. I had a dream about me and Mike getting married. When I woke up, I was disappointed that it was a dream. " Well, I better get ready for school." I thought. "Just a new day."
