Sitting in the great hall in front of the fireplace was a Hufflepuff reading her classes Defense against the Darks arts text book. Remus walked in followed by his buddies "Hey Remus look it's that little Hufflepuff from Dark Arts class isn't it?" came Sirius' voice
"Yes and from the looks of it she's studying, come on let's just go play some wizards chess and leave her alone."
"Aw come on Remus go talk to her, I know you want to"
"Do Not!" But despite what he said he really wanted to talk to the Hufflepuff, who called herself Tonks, but he never had the courage to walk up to her and he only had one class with her."
"Why not Lupin? We see how you look at her. Go for it"
"I can't because she's a 1st year and I'm a 4th year." Tonks was exceptionally skilled in Defense against the Dark Arts so the Headmaster changed her schedule around and put her in Lupin's Class.
While the four were bickering loud enough for Tonks to hear she carefully looked up from the text book to look at the tallest one of the four, 'Remus I believe his name is,' she thought as her mind drifted to that day in dark arts when the professor had them practicing the knockback jinx and a few other stun spell. The Final match of the day was between the new student Tonks and the skilled 4th year Remus
"Remember it is only the spells you learned today no other spell, we don't want any infirmary visits today" came the professors voice glaring at James and Sirius. "Don't worry Nympahdora I will go easy on you" came Remus' snide remark
"Why Remus because I am a female? As if! I could knock you down on your butt if I wanted to"
Remus smile waned as she raised her wand towards him before he could think of the counter he really was knocked backwards.
As Tonks came back from the memory she saw Remus walk up to her "hey, uh what you reading?" he asked
"Next week's lesson for Dark arts"
"Oh ok, hey look I was uh wondering if maybe you would like to come to Hogsmeade with me and my buddies tomorrow?"
"Did they dare you or bribe you to ask me Remus?"
"Yes and No,"
"You don't make any sense Remus"
"yes they did dare me but they didn't have to I was going to ask you anyway I think"
"You think?" replied Tonks giggling "but yes I will go with you"
"Ok well then um, see ya tomorrow?" he turned curtly and walked fast back to his friends
Tonks watched him walk away down to the Gryffindor table smiling as she waited for tomorrow to come.
