Turning, you waved a goodbye at the kind mayor of the island that you had spent the last two years at, then walked inwards, your destination being Shakky's Rip-Off Bar. Your light backpack was sling over your shoulders, and every time you took a step, it bounced a little on your back.
Citizens stared cautiously as you walked past, probably because of the multitude of glittering-bright daggers strapped to your left thigh for easy access. Fortunately enough, you didn't pass any Tenryūbito on your way here. As you walked without disturbance into the lawless zone, you heaved a sigh of relief that made your (h/c) locks drift upwards and out of your face (if only temporarily).
You picked up the pace and jogged roughly in the direction of Grove 13. Thoughts of your fellow crewmates flashed through your head, and your eagerness to meet them all fueled your energy, causing you to speed up the pace.
Eventually you were running at full tilt, your (f/c) sneakers thumping against the green grass. Suddenly, a different patch of green appeared not too far ahead of you, making you stop running abruptly and blink. How in the world...?
Then realization shot over your mind.
"Marimo-kun!" you yelled, a wide grin on your face as you sprinted towards the Straw Hat crew's swordsman and first mate. You reached him swiftly and flung your bag aside to hug him tightly. The man seemed a bit surprised at first, but relaxed and returned the greeting.
You buried your head in his chest and whispered quietly,
"I'm so happy right now."
There was a vibrating noise, and you recognized Zoro's laugh. You looked up and tilted your head.
"What's so funny?" You asked confusedly, and he shook his head with a grin on his face.
"You do realize that I managed to beat you here, right?"
Your mouth twisted into a frown, and you drew away, crossing your arms tightly and looking anywhere but at him.
Zoro laughed again.
"Sore loser, huh?"
