"Christine, Christine?" Meg called as she headed down the stairwell leading to the chapel. Christine heard the sweet little voice of her dear friend, and smiled to hear it. But then another, deeper voice echoed the call. Angel. Christine thought in response, for she believed that her angel could read her mind. Meg entered the chapel, crossed herself in respect, and sat down beside Christine.
"Where in the world have you been hiding? Really, you were perfect!" Meg gently placed her hand on Christine's shoulder and she smiled, looking down. "I only wish I knew your secret-who is your great tutor?"
Meg had no idea that Chrisine was being secretly tutored, until her beautiful audition for the role of Elissa, and she was as shocked as everyone else, when her mother explained to the managers that Christine had been taking lessons from a 'Great Teacher'. And now that Hannibal was completed she had to confront her beloved friend.
Christine hesitated, as this was the first person she would open up to about her angel. But she knew Meg would understand; and so she began.
"When your mother brought me here to live.. whenever I'd come down here alone to light a candle for my father... A voice from above-and in my dreams, he was always there.. You see, when my father lay dying, he told me I would be protected by an angel- an Angel of Music." She explained.
"Christine, do you believe- Do you think the spirit of your father is coaching you?" Meg questioned.
"Who else, Meg? Who? Why, right now, this very moment as I speak, I can sense him and I know he's here. Here in this room he calls me softly, somewhere inside hiding. Somehow I know he's always with me, he the Unseen Genius.." Christine stood up as she spoke.
No matter how much she wanted to, Meg couldn't bring herself to believe it. Christine always liked to dream, but she needed to keep her feet on the ground, epsecially now that she starred in her first performance. Meg took her hands and slowly lead her out of the chapel.
"Christine, you must have been dreaming... Stories like this can't come true.. Christine, your talking in riddles- and it's not like you."
~Just a little of the pretty scene from Phantom. I know it is pretty much what you saw down on paper. I shall make something more romantic and original about that handsome Phantom soon. But that was my starter, I hope youe enjoyed it anyhow! Thank you! xoxo
