A/N: This is my first Twilight fic so please review and let me know what you think. I started off with a short chapter.
A Day at the Cullen's
Edward walked in the front door of the Cullen's mansion, his arm around Bella's waist. Alice was sitting by herself on the couch watching the television; the volume was so low down Bella couldn't hear it.
"Hey Bella, wanna watch TV with me?" she asked.
"Yeah sure," Bella said.
Edward let go of her as she went to sit by Alice. Alice turned up the television so Bella would be able to hear it.
"You can't ignore me forever you know," Edward said looking at Alice.
Bella looked confused as Alice acted like it was just her and Bella in the room. She looked at Edward and he rolled his eyes and sat down in the arm chair beside the couch that Alice and Bella were on.
"So, what did you do today Bella?" Alice asked looking at Bella.
"Oh, not a lot really," she replied, looking from Edward to Alice suspiciously.
"Hey Jasper," Alice said.
Bella looked behind her. She hadn't even heard Jasper come in but he was leaning on the back of the couch like he had been there all along.
"Hey," Jasper said.
He looked at Edward and raised his eyebrows.
"It's a long story," he said answering Jasper's thoughts. "Not right now."
"Ok what's going on?" Bella asked looking at Edward.
"Alice is just upset because I saw something in her thoughts that she didn't want me to see," Edward explained.
Jasper looked worried.
"What kind of something?" he asked.
Edward smacked his head.
"God Jasper, nothing like that but thanks for the image."
Jasper looked at Edward sheepishly, "Sorry bro."
"That's what you get for being nosey," Alice said looking at Edward for the first time since he came in.
"Oh so now your talking to me?"
"I'm confused, what did Edward see that was so bad?" Bella asked Alice.
"He saw what I planned on getting you for your wedding, but now I have to change it because I want it to be a surprise."
"Well maybe you should…" Edward stopped and looked at Jasper.
He sighed standing up. "Look Alice, I'm sorry I ruined the surprise, but I was only reading your thoughts to see if you had any news on the Volturi."
Alice jumped up off the couch and threw her arms around Edward enthusiastically.
"I forgive you," she said cheerfully.
Jasper smiled.
"It's impossible to have a fight when you are around, Jasper," Edward grinned.
