1864: The Salvatore Plantation.

Of all the years she spent running, Katherine was growing tired. It was time to settle.
Using her flawless looks and girly charm, along with the fact that people assumed she was orphaned she never found it hard to take advantage of people.

The unlucky ones she'd use to settle with were Giuseppe Salvatore and his sons, Damon and Stefan.
There was no mistaking that she was equally attracted to both the Salvatore brothers. Stefan with his innocence, and Damon with his fast wit and cocky charm. Yes, they were quite the pair.

Unfortunately for them Katherine had not been capable of loving any living thing since her daughter was taken from her many years before, leaving a void that would never be filled, not even by the wealth of love Damon had to offer. Stefan on the other hand, he wasn't as easily drawn in, leaving Katherine with no choice but to turn to compulsion to get him on side.

If she were to go on living in Mystic Falls without being found out then she needed regular sources of food. Damon was all too willing, you could say he was infatuated with Katherine, something she took great pleasure from, and soon after controlling Stefan's mind, he was too.

"Stefan, Stefan wait!" Katherine squealed with delight, hoisting up her dress as she charged through the maze of perfectly trimmed bushes out back. Sure, she had only been using the brothers, but there was no harm in having a little fun whilst she was at it. He dived at her, sending both her and himself crashing down in a heap on the perfectly manicured lawn. She collapsed in a fit of giggles and brushed his cheek with the back of her hand.

"You know.." Katherine was cut short by the sound of laughter echoing through the garden, the source being the oldest Salvatore looking handsome as ever with his rugged jaw and disheveled hair.

"Damon." Katherine gasped, clambering to her feet and smoothing down her dress. She'd long ago compelled both the brothers not to react if they were to find her with the other, and so it was easy enough for her to act casual.

"Come.." She flashed them both a full grin of dazzling whites, her brown hues glimmering in the sun. "I have a surprise for you boys."
All too willingly they both followed, offering an arm each, and Katherine happily slid her arms into the crook of theirs leading them inside.

Little did they know, they were about to become lunch...
