~A Winter Hymnal~

Snow falls down from the starry sky above him. It entwines and floats in peacefulness. He cranes his neck upward and watches the internal snowflake dance and he feels a smile tug at his lips.

It suddenly turns into a slight frown for a moment for he didn't want to pry his eyes from the beautiful dance. Then changes into another smile as he feel someone's arm snake around his hip and pulls him close.

Only one person dared to touch him like that.

He stares up at those bright green eyes. That always seemed to swim with something he could never figure out. He had been under the training with the god damn Batman for years now, but he had yet to figure out what that thing was that the speedster's eyes, swimming with.

Was it passion?

Lust?

Love?

"Your cheeks and little nose is rosy red Robbie." He hears the speedster say in a rather annoying sing-song voice. It was true he had been out there for awhile. Nevertheless he gives the speedster a look and pulls him off, but Wally doesn't let him escape. He looks up again and feels himself heat up despite the bitter wind coming from the south.

"Stop looking at me like that." he groans then feels Wally's arms tighten around him,

"But I can't let go of you. You're too cute." he hears Wally whisper.

"You're such a dork." he said turns his head to look out towards the Wayne Manor were the annual Christmas gala was going on without them.

There is a sudden silence. Then he feels Wally's fingers slightly caresses his cheek, he leans into it and looks over to the speedster, settling his eyes on Wally's chest. Apparently that wasn't good enough. For the speedster's fingers slipped under his chin and tilted his head up.

"How come you left the party Dick?" he asks a genuine sound of concern laced each word that the speedster spoke.

"Because," Dick sighs out then tries to look away but Wally wouldn't let him.

"Richard." Wally pressures, and Dick rolled his eyes.

"Wallace."

"Not the full name dude." Wally whines and Dick chuckles then stops when he sees the sadden look on Wally's face.

"Fine." he groans and almost misses the slight quirk of the ginger's lips, "I really don't want to perform tonight."

"But you're so good at it." he hears Wally say and he sighs.

"You say that every time."

"Because it's true."

Dick only rolled his eyes and leaned against the older boy's chest, "I don't want those pompous people in there to judge me."

"They won't judge you." Wally said but Dick doesn't believe him, "How about this. When you're performing your eyes can only be on mine. It'll be like it's just the two of us in the room. That this is your Christmas present to me. Deal?"

Dick looks upward at the speedster a true smile gracing his lips, "Deal." and he leans in to capture his lips with Wally's.

They move their lips together in time, and Dick feels almost as if the world had stopped. Just for them.

He hears a slight cough and he breaks apart from Wally, turning his head to see the kind old butler there at the edge of the snow-covered garden, holding a lighted-lamp with one hand while his other was behind his back.

"Master Richard, master Wallace. They are waiting for you back at the gathering."

"Yes, alright." Dick hears himself say, Alfred nods then turns back to head back into the manor.

"Merry Christmas Wally." Dick whispers wrapping his arms around the speedster's neck.

"Merry Christmas Dickey" Wally jokes and the bird rolled his azure colored eyes then pulled the speedster back in for another kiss.
