Missing
Summary: set between The Last Olympian and the Lost Hero it's only short but I hope you like it
Annabeth Chase woke up to the sound of shouting out side quickly she got up and dressed and ran outside grabbing her dagger as she did so. Looking about her she could see panicked campers, she saw the Demeter cabin doing something that looked like a roll call. Catching sight of the Stoll brothers she yelled "Hey Stolls whats going on?"
"A campers gone missing" they shouted back in reply heading over to her.
"Which one?" she asked
"Dunno we've ony been up for about five minitues" they replied.
"Okay I'm going to find Percy" she said and dashed of towards the Poseidon Cabin.
She knocked on the cabin door and there was no answer, opening the door she was met with a shock it was empty there was no sign of Percy. The bunk he usually slept in was tidy his wrist watch shield had gone so had riptide, there were no clothes on the floor. That was weird his cabin was never tidy. Annabeth went back outside frowning; Percy was never up early unless there was a monster attacking the camp borders. "Will have you seen Percy anywhere?" she asked .
"No sorry I thought he would still be in bed asleep" replied Will
"Well he's not and the cabins is far to tidy for him" answered Annabeth. At that point Chiron trotted up with Rachel on his back at this sight Annabeth knew something was badly wrong. "Annabeth dear, Rachel has some news that may shock you a little" said Chiron sadly. Rachel looked at Annabeth her green eyes were puffy from crying and said the three words she never wanted to hear "Annabeth, Percy's missing." Annabeth opened her mouth to say something but all that came out was an anguished cry the world around her spinning and she grabbed a sea shell column to support herself. Campers looked round and saw the group standing by the Poseidon and sudden realisation hit them it was Percy saviour of Olympus was the missing camper. Tears filled Annabeth's eyes "No he can't be not Percy" she sobbed and ran off to the beach.
Standing on the beach her feet just touch the surf Annabeth yelled "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM? WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS?" tears poured down her cheeks as she sat down on the warm sand and stared out at the waves. "Hey Annabeth" said a familiar voice. She looked behind her and saw her two best friends Thalia and Grover who sat down on either side of her. "Chiron told us the news" said Thalia gently. "I can't believe it's like a nightmare come true" said Annabeth holding back a sob.
Grover choked back a sob not of sadness but of relief, Annabeth and Thalia stared at him he sighed and explained "You know the empathy link I share with Percy I just felt something" Thalia and Annabeth nodded for him to continue. Grover smiled and said "He's alive"
