As she sat there with her body slumped over. She thought to herself, just like every day, 'today will be better.' She then got up and sighed "just another day" she whispered to herself, but what she did realise was that today was not going to be just an ordinary day.
Jane loved to dream a lot. She dreamed about how she wished her life was different and how it could be, but she always knew that it would never be different. Everyone who knew Jane always knew she had a wild imagination and a heart of gold.
When Jane woke up that day she realised she was running late for work and had to rush to get ready, she tied her long brunette hair in a high tight ponytail, she got her work shirt on and rushed around her undersized flat making sure she had everything. As she locked up her flat she then headed to her car, she looked at the time and saw she only had ten minutes to get to work. Lucky for her she didn't have to go very far.
As she got out the car and heading for the door to the cafe she worked at she ran into a man, knocking everything out of his hands, she stopped and helped him pick up his stuff even though it meant she was late for work. When it came to helping people, Jane didn't mind being slightly late. Her parents always told her that helping someone is better than being rude and leaving them. She never really understood what her parents were always saying but she now treasures everything they say as it made her the person she is today. Her parents died in a boating accident when she was 18, it only been five years since that day and she still blames herself.
"I'm so sorry, I was in a rush" she said quickly to the man, "it's okay, nothing's broken" he said with a nervous laugh at the end. He continued "Names Brooke, Jason Brooke." She stared for a minute and blushed "Jane, Jane Taylor nice to meet you" she answered. They both stood there for a minute which felt to Jane like a lifetime. "Well I better get off I'm already late for work" he responded. "Err yeah same bye" Jane nervously ran off.
As Jane got into work she sprinted straight to the staff locker room. Once she put all her stuff in her locker she went to find her supervisor Megan. Ever since Megan and Jane have worked together they have gotten to know each other and Jane knows she can talk to Megan about everything. "I'm sorry I'm late, I ran into this man and…" Megan interrupted her "it's fine I know what you're like you can't just leave someone there once you have knocked them over, it's fine I understand." Jane smiled and gave her a gigantic hug. "You are amazing Megan." Jane whispered in Megan's ear. Megan Smile grew, "now let's get working before we both get told off."
Jane loved where she worked, she had amazing friends there. They all knew when she wasn't herself and when she needed someone they were all there.
