To her own dismay, Ada, the one who hated being the vulnerable one just so happened to be. And for once in her life, she was just fine with that.

It came with the pride of being self employed and doing just as she pleased. She knew what what she was capable of doing, the mayhem she could cause, and Ada had thought that was the only way she could ever be happy. Her mind the night before had been elsewhere though, she didn't know where it went but somehow it ended up with her waking up in bed with someone who was quite literally the opposite of everything she was. She could've been with anyone she wanted; Leon, Wesker, Krauser, Helena, and yet her drunken stupor must have thought a little too much of herself. Even sober, Ada had to admit, Claire was cute when she slept.

Ada stood in the bathroom doorway, her dark eyes watching the way Claire breathed, the way her chest rose and fell. Lost in the moment she hadn't caught herself smiling quite yet. The woman was absolutely beautiful, as hard to admit as it may be.

Too bad this wouldn't last, Claire wasn't a settling kind of girl, neither was Ada, and it wouldn't surprise her if last night was the only night she'd get with the redhead she now had a fondness for.

Here goes nothing.

Ada came to sit down on the edge of the bed beside Claire. Reaching over the woman carefully she caressed her cheek whispering softly, "Good morning."

At her words she could see that Claire Redfield had begun to stir, the butterflies that swarmed her stomach made her nothing but sick. Yet she couldn't wipe the haughty smirk from her lips when the disheveled woman groaned and reached for Ada. The moment Claire's fingers so much as grazed over her skin she shuddered. How the hell was Claire so cold? She hadn't even left the comfort of blankets that she so selfishly stole and wrapped around herself in the middle of the night.

Letting Claire have a few more minutes of sleep she ran her fingers over her short hair, careful not to catch a knot of red hair in her nails. A sigh of happiness left her lips when she saw a smile form on the girl's face who now had her head laid in her lap. With a roll of her eyes Ada spoke up again, her voice soft and low, "how'd you sleep?"

"Like a rock."

Claire's response was short, she'd expect nothing more from a sleepy Redfield.

"What do you say we hop in the shower, Red?" Ada asked, grazing her finger along Claire's soft cheeks which were littered with tiny freckles. She thought they were absolutely adorable.

"Fine."
