Hey everyone! Just a little something I thought about once. Reviews are appreciated ;)
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.
Two days after Ginny and Dean had broken up, she was moping around the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall.
"Ginny, what's wrong? You seem down." Hermione asked Ginny.
"Dean and I broke up." She replied in a sad voice.
"Great," Ron mumbled to Harry. "Now if she would just stay away from every other guy…."
Hermione shot him a harsh face in warning, but Ginny'd already heard him and exploded, "Excuse me, Ronald?! I'm not the one snogging some girl in the common room every waking moment that you're not shoveling food into your mouth."
"He's just being protective of you, Ginny. He doesn't want you to get hurt." Harry butted in, disregarding Hermione's next look that was thrown at him. Ginny rounded on him.
"You're defending the filthy hypocrite, are you?" Ginny retorted.
"Yeah, I am."
"You're just as bad as him, you know."
"At least I know when someone's intentions are good, and don't just see everyone as the enemy."
Ginny chuckled harshly. "Oh, that's rich, coming from the one who's been accusing Malfoy of every possible petty offense." She shot back, her voice lowering.
In search of something meaningful to say, Harry yelled, "Well I'm in Gryffindor!"
"Last time I checked, so was I, oh Chosen One." Ginny said pretty calmly for the situation at hand, considering her well-known temper.
"At least I'm a Gryffindor who can control their temper." Harry rallied back.
"I do not have a temper!" Ginny practically screeched.
"Looks like both of you have pretty hot tempers." Malfoy sneered from the crowd that had formed, smirking at the Gryffindors' fight.
"Shut up, Ferret!" Both of them yelled at the blonde Slytherin as he cowered back from his two red-faced enemies.
"And I actually care about people; I don't spread truthless gossip about them either." Harry charged Ginny, but she didn't respond as he'd hoped.
She scoffed and said, "Oh, yes, of course, The Boy Who Lived just cares and cares about everyone so much, it's really a wonder why he's not in Huflepuff. Yet here he stands, picking a fight with his own housemate." Ginny yelled the last sentence.
Harry's face had fallen while Ginny spoke, and he responded in a weary voice, "I do care. How could I not care if I'd noticed how undeniably beautiful you are, Ginny Weasley? Your smooth, shimmering hair that sets my heart aflame when I see it atop the sweet face of yours. And your soft blue eyes I always struggle not to fall into when I look at you. I can't stand it when you get all fired up like this because you look extremely hot and I can barely keep myself away from you."
At this, Harry walked past Ginny and was about to leave the Great Hall when she grabbed the back of his shirt. Ginny turned him around to face her. "I like you, too, Harry." She whispered and kissed him.
When all the commotion was over, a disappointed Draco stalked out, mumbling to himself, "Stupid Gryffindors can never get into a good fight- always using Dumbledore's 'secret weapon' of looove."
A/N: Review. You want to, but you might not know it. But when you do review, you'll know it's what you wanted to do all along.
