Leopardstar didn't realize Tigerstar was evil until it was too late

She just couldn't see who he really was

She couldn't see how anyone could hate him

He was the biggest and strongest tom she had ever seen

She always loved how his huge muscles rippled as he ran

And how he fought with no fear no matter what

He had more intelligence than most cats

He didn't just learn battle moves and hunting techniques

He created and improved upon them

He could outwit Riverclan's best warriors

In the heat of battle while everyone else's minds were clouded

He could manipulate his clanmates

Even Bluestar had been fooled by him

Tigerstar had much more sense than most other toms

He didn't joke around

He didn't start pointless quarrels

He didn't tolerate nonsense from anyone

Not even kits dared to play around him

They recognized the great warrior

And stayed silent in awe and maybe a little fear of him

He demanded the respect he deserved

All warriors who disrespected him regretted it soon afterwards

He commanded authority just by being himself

He stood proud and tall

Towering over everything and everyone

He walked slowly and deliberately

He wasn't foolish enough to scamper around like a kit

His eyes had a fire at the back of them

It was a cold, deep fire that penetrated anything Tigerstar gazed upon

His pelt gleamed in battle

Both due to regular grooming and light shining off of the blood on it

His claws and teeth were long and sharp

Perfect for dispatching both prey and enemies

Even his voice had a power of its own

Once you heard it, you had to listen to it

It could melt your soul and bend it to his whim

It was not surprising that Leopardstar had a crush on him

That was why she joined Tigerclan

Even though it was morally wrong

And even though it was grueling to endure

She stayed by him until it was too late

By the time she realized her first folly

She made another one

She began to fear Tigerstar

She had to obey him or die once she joined him

Though Leopardstar regretted her mistake forever afterward

She had truly believed that she could be his mate

And rule the Forest beside him forever
