Atlantis was asleep – as much as ever – when AT-1 came home. Carson hurried them through their post mission checkups. Ronon gave him a grateful look and hurried off to his quarters.
He walked silently into the bedroom and stopped. The nightlight illuminated Jennifer nestled in the rocking chair holding their daughter. His heart squeezed just a little at the beauty of the moment. For so long there was no beauty.
Gently, he gathered up his sleeping family. Jennifer murmured softly and Ronon shushed her. He settled the two females that owned his heart in the bed and crawled in the opposite side. He reached across the bed and pulled them in the protective cocoon of his arms. Softly, he drifted to sleep.
