NiGHTS flew into a portal to a clearing full of autumn colored grass. Her face was slightly flushed and she had an annoyed expression on her face. The nigt had started with rainbows and dreams until Reala had come along.
"WHY must REALA ruin EVERYTHING? That Wizeman-obsessed-loyalist!" She thought furiously. She stormed into a small clearing flying at fast speeds. "I won't forgive him this time!" She shouted into the open air and continued flying however she had not been paying attention to where she was going and-

CRASH!

OOF!
OW!

NiGHTS fell back onto the autum grass and so did something else in front of her. It looked small and it could have passed of for a stuffed animal; hedgehog to be perscise. It was cobalt blue and had a blue orb floating above its head. It wore yellow rings around its "wrists" and gloves on its "hands". Lastly it wore red and white sneakers with gold cuffs on its "feet". Its eyes were sparkling emeralad green. NiGHTS gaped at the sight of it.

It was so...CUTE!

"Umm Chu...?" Its voice sounded small making it all the more cuter, however NiGHTS heard it spoken in another language. Not that she had any problems with that she could speak any language any way she wanted.

"Hi I'm NiGHTS! Sorry about knocking heads with you like that normaly I pay attention to where I'm going. Might I ask you to accept my apology?"

Chao Chay!

"Thank you, So what are you doing here?" Queried a now smiling NiGHTS. The little hedgechao sighed and explained that it got lost while trying to find someone to play with because he was very lonely. NiGHTS pitied the poor chao and promised she would play with him. This immeadiately put the chao in a happy mood it had told her his name was Chaonic the hedgechao, named after and by Sonic the hedgehog.

Not long after, they began playing in the field from tag, to hide and sneek to many more games after they had gotten tired the Chao had asked why NiGHTS had been angry earlier. At the mention of this subject NiGHTS face darkened slightly then it was her turn to sigh.

"My brother was being very mean to me today and just because I made a small mistake. It wasn't my fault and were not under Wizeman's control so I don't see why he has to treat me like that."

Chaonic noticed NiGHTS voice sounded like it was ready to break into tears and wrapped around NiGHTS leg in a comforting hug. The two were like that for a while until they heard a voice.

"HEY! CHAONIC! WHERE ARE YOU!"

Chaonic got off of NiGHTS and explained that that was his owner Sonic the hedgehog. As soon aS he said it, a blue hedgehog with a cocky expression appeared in front of them. His attire and appearence was similar to that of Chaonic except he didn't wear rings on his wrists and he had a slightly more arrogant pose, not mentioning that he was almost as tall as NiGHTS and his expression had adrenelin-junkie written on it.

"Hey there you are Chaonic! I've been looking everywhere for you!" Said Chao smiled and climbed on Sonic's arm. Sonic then turned his attention to NiGHTS who smiled polietly at him. "Thanks for finding him for me. I'm Sonic the hedgehog, how about you?"

"My name is NiGHTS! I had a great time with your Chao."

"Heh, Sure sounds like it! Well we've got to get going so-"

"CHAO CHAO CHAO!" yelped Chaonic.

Sonic flinched slightly, but still smiled, "What's up? You want NiGHTS to come with us?" Chaonic nodded fiercely. Sonic chuckled and turned to NiGHTS with a challenging smirk. She simply smiled and bowed.

"I'd love to accompany you!"

Then the three left to enjoy the rest of the day together, a beautiful friendship was born.
