A/N: This is my first story so bare with me, might be shit might not be anyway on with the story.
The Night had been quiet only hours before, but now a fight was taking place as Shinobi of Konahagakure no Sato were defending their village from attack so large that the 3rd Great Shinobi war paled in comparison.
Kunai, Shurikan and Jutsu flew through the air as Shinobi used all the skills to keep their enemy, the dreaded Kyuubi no Kitsune, the Nine-Tailed Fox from entering their village. Try as they might they were losing ground, Shinobi lay dead or dying covering the battle ground, screams rose from friends, family and comrades in anger for the lose of their beloved ones.
Cries of "Don't give up" and "Protect the Village" Sounded loud and clear through the din.
A Jonin is thrown back against a tree but saved by his friend.
"We are running out of time"
"where's the 4th Hokage?"
"LOOK OUT!"
BOOOM!
The explosion rocked the area as the Kyuubi unleashed a blast of Chakra at the surrounding ninja knocking them all away
"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" It roared as its tails swiped the ground behind it destroying the forest and gouging the earth.
"Retreat...Retreat we cant hold out anymore we have to get out of here" a ninja screamed blood dripping from his damaged arm
Many were beginning to think he was right and were starting to back away dragging what comrades they could when suddenly a flash of light illuminated the darkening forest causing who could to shield there eyes, as the light faded a cheer rose from the Shinobi force as they looked at their hero...the 4th Hokage astride Gamabunta Lord of the Toad Summonings.
The Battle that followed would go down in legends, The forces of Konaha could do nothing but stare in awe at their Hokage's abilities.(A/N but this battle is for another time, maybe a later chapter or a one-shot, haven't decided yet)
With a final flash of light the battle was over and the Kyuubi was gone leaving The 4th Hokage with just enough energy to get to Konaha and hand a child to Hiruzen Sarutobi and give his finally wish that the boy be treated as a hero and two scrolls one for Konaha to explain why he did what he had to and one for the boy to receive once it was deemed that the boy had become mature and strong enough to know the truth.
And with his last words he gave to boy a name.
"His name will be... Naruto Uzumaki"
And so ends the life of the 4th Hokage...Friend, Teammate, Leader and Hero of Konahagakure no Sato.
