The poetic form Villanelle was not a fixed, or normal, form when it was first conceived. Later, it was accepted. Discord was not as lucky.

A break from The Boondocks. Here is a Villanelle.

Why am I so misunderstood by them

I simply showed them what I thought was fun

I just wanted the fun to never end

I gave them a show and even played games

but that just caused all the ponies to run

Why am I so misunderstood by them

It was never my intent to give names

That was blind Twilight, worshiping the sun

I just wanted the fun to never end

Please do not believe Celestia's claims

I've committed none, not a single one

You will not burn within the grudge's flames

For their aims are something I can't outrun

I'm gone and only my statue remains
