If Loki Had Tried That Shit In Toronto
Edit: This story was taken down, supposedly for not having a G-rated title. I fixed that. If anyone can remember which of my other fics was taken down for the same reason remind me and I'll repost it.
HK: So I just watched Avengers… and had fangasm after fangasm… (no one else seemed to find the violence quite as hilarious but whatevs I already knew I was twisted)… But yeah. That one scene in Germany where Loki had the whole crowd on their knees? He's just lucky he wasn't at a convention, or in Toronto. He was clearly not prepared for some of the stuff that we come up with. So here's something tiny that flashed into my brain and will not leave.
Disclaimer: I swear I had nothing to do with it! I don't own Avengers, or the cracked out little thoughts that come into my brain.
WARNINGS! I'm pretty sure I'm on drugs? And not the good kind.

Loki raised his staff, grinning triumphantly at the crowd before him. All were on their knees, looking to him with apprehension. Fearing for their lives. It was a bit silly really, since all he wanted was to take away the curse of freedom. They would understand soon enough. He took a few steps forward, smiling magnanimously at his people.
"Is not this simpler?" he asked, looking over the upturned faces, "Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power. For identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel." There was a brief moment of silence, then someone stuck their hand up.
"Question!" Loki blinked, confused. This wasn't quite what he had expected. He turned and saw a reasonably attractive young man getting to his feet. Not completely sure what was happening, he gestured to the boy.
"What is it?" His voice held nothing but confidence, of course. There was no chance of him showing anything less. The boy shrugged, not looking very upset by the whole affair.
"Well, I enjoy subjugation as much as the next person, but there has to be something in it for me. If you're not going to break out the whips and chains I've gotta go." The entire rest of the crowd had turned to stare at him now, and he shrugged. "What? I was on my way to Sexapalooza anyway."
Loki opened and closed his mouth a few times, having absolutely no idea how to respond to that. He was almost relieved when a streak of red white and blue appeared. The hero screeched to a halt, glaring at him. Loki gave him a half smile.
"Are you here to try and stop me?" At least this meant he didn't have to actually answer the young man's question. Captain America glared at him.
"I'm here to succeed."
"Thank you." The hero looked confused by the sincerity, but for once in his life Loki meant every word. The people here were crazy.

HK: This is my brain. This is my brain on drugs. I don't even know.
