Carly groaned as she, together with Spencer pushed the 60 pounds moon from her legs.

"I'm so sorry," Spencer repeated.

"It's okay," Carly comforted him. "It's not like it set itself on fire," she chuckled. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Who is it?"

"It's me, Freddie," a young boyish voice emerged from behind the door.

"Oh," Carly said while her mood decreased at the second. "You come to make me settle an argument between Sam and you?"

"No," Freddie sighed. "I'm... alone," he said somewhat uneasy "Sam's home,"

Carly sighed. "Come in,"

"I'll be in my room," Spencer whispered as he disappeared in there, before Freddie opened the door.

"Wow you really are alone," Carly said in quasi-surprise.

"You thought I lied," Freddie said.

"No," Carly said "It's not even ten o'clock. Aren't you supposed to be on your date with Sam?" she asked in concern.

"Well," Freddie said in a serious voice. "Sam and I broke up,"

Carly was baffled at the spot. "You broke up, but- What happened?"

"Well, we talked about it after you left and we pretty much came to the conclusion that we were just too different,"

"So you basically broke up because of what I said,"

"It's okay, Carly," Freddie said. "It just didn't work between us. I mean, that way. We just weren't ready to be in a relationship yet after everything what happened between Sam and me in the past. We need to get along as friends first. You just made us think about it. You were right"

"Oh, okay," Carly mumbled as she sat down a garden chair.

"Look," Freddie said. "I'm here to apologize. We treated you like dirt last week and I'm sorry. I thought I could handle Sam just as well as you could when we were in a relationship, but I was wrong and I'm really sorry for how I treated you. You really deserved that lasagna"

Carly chuckled in amusement, but didn't face Freddie. "Well. Sorry for calling you a whiny nub,"

"Well, I feel like I'm worse," Freddie said. "I deserved it,"

Carly sighed and stood up. "Look Freddie," she said. "You know that I want to help you no matter what, but the way you treated me last week… You hurt me and you used me. You weren't the caring, sweet Freddie I know. I never thought you would use me like that,"

"I know," Freddie said. "If you can't forgive me, I-I understand. I just hope you can forgive me one time,"

"But Freddie," Carly continued. "We are friends and if I can't forgive you then what kind of friends are we?"

"None," Freddie mumbled.

"Exactly," Carly said as she walked to Freddie with her arms wide open to pull him in a hug. "I forgive you," Freddie slowly draped his arms around her.

"How about Sam?" Freddie asked.

"I forgive her too," Carly said. She pulled back and took some distance. "Wanna watch some stars?"

Freddie smiled. "I'd love too," Freddie sat in Spencer's garden chair while Carly sat in her own. "Carly,"

"Yes,"

"Thanks for being my friend,"

"You're welcome,"
