I woke up with a start.
"You gotta be kidding me," I said as I looked at the time: 3:30 AM. Well let's just say my record of not waking up in the middle of the night has disappeared. You see, I have a habit of always somehow waking up in the middle of the night. Ever since I became friends with her though, it's been a different story. Seeing no point on dwelling over this fact, I gently pad downstairs, careful not to wake my mother. God knows it would probably take a hurricane to do so, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I stand in front of the microwave, watching as it heats my milk, and I can't help but think back to the moment when I first saw her. God, she took my breathe away.
Two weeks ago.
I was running to history class, seconds away from being late. Who knows why, all I do is sleep in that class anyway, but then I got pretty much mowed over by, I didn't even know what. All I saw was the door way to my class room straight ahead, then a scurrying brunette from the corner of my eye, and boom! Man down! But then I looked up from the floor and
"Wow," I breathed
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I saw you but I thought that I could…" She kept saying some other stuff, but all I saw was her beautiful face, and I went blank.
"Oh my gosh, and now you're not talking. I've caused you serious head trauma haven't I? If you want I could take you to the nurse," that woke me up though. Nobody wants to be in the presence if Nurse Doris, no one.
"But that's a stupid thing to say since I don't even know where that is," she continued to ramble.
"Hey no, it's fine," I broke in.
"I'm all good, see," I said as I finally got up off the floor. I took a look at my history class, and decided the heck with it. I was already late, after all.
"So I'm guessing you're new then?" I mean she did offer to take me to the nurse, and no one does that here unless the person's already unconscious, and plus I would recognize a pretty face like that.
"Yes I am, I was on my way to Mr. Jacob's history class, which I'm guessing was you're destination too?" the brunette said, and then… she smiled! And oh how entranced I was. Plus, we have history together? Well I guess that class just got more interesting, I thought.
"Yeah it was, but don't worry, I'm sure we're not missing anything important, it's only the second week of the semester. I'm Quinn by the way," I said.
"I'm Rachel," she said, sticking out her hand.
I quirked my eye brow at the gesture, not knowing any other McKinley High student who initiated an introduction like that before. Yeah she's definitely not from around here.
"It nice to meet you," I smiled grabbing her hand, and… sparks.
-The Beginning
AN: Hey guys, this is my first story so take it easy on me please . I've been reading FanFiction for a while, so I thought I'd try my hand at writing a story. I started writing this on a whim, and don't really know where it's gonna go, but *shrugs* everyone's gotta start somewhere right? Please feel free to review, and offer your constructive criticism. Hope you all have a lovely day (or night).
