A/N: I do not own anything Harry Potter. I do not own the song Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down.

...I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind..

...I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time…

"...I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon…" sang Harry quietly as he got another glass of punch from the table.

It was one of the many parties that the Gryffindor house had after their victories in Quidditch, the sport of wizards.

The chorus came up and an echo roared across the common room,

"IF I GO CRAZY THEN WILL YOU STILL CALL ME SUPERMAN…"

"...If I'm alive and well, will you be there, holding my hand…" muttered Harry as he walked back over to where his two best friends were sitting and laughing.

"Oh, there you are Harry. Where did you go?" Hermione asked promptly.

"I just went to get punch." answered Harry quickly, as to not worry her. Hermione was very protective of him lately, maybe because Voldemort had tried kill him once again.

It was his fourth year at school and he had at least three near-death experiences already. Voldemort seemed to be his kryptonite. Hermione was just trying to prevent that. Or at least that's what he thought. Hermione was really making sure he wasn't off talking to some girl, specifically Ginny Weasley.

Harry had been talking to her for a while and Hermione was jealous, almost as green-eyed as the Slytherin known as Draco Malfoy.

Harry and Hermione locked eyes and smiled, the tension passing after the very awkward moment they had just shared.

Ginny had come up and said hi to Harry, immediately making Hermione uncomfortable. Then Ginny started to flirt. Hermione snapped after Ginny put her hand on Harry's. "Get your hand off of him, he's mine." stated a flustered Hermione. She then realized My kryptonite...is love!

Ginny walked away angrily and Hermione turned to Harry.

"Care to explain?" Harry asked with a smirk.

"Well, I kind of have some feel-" Hermione woke up and looked around, she was in her bed, in the middle of the night. She sighed in relief, she wasn't confessing her feelings for Harry.

The next morning was very awkward for her, not only was she extremely quiet, Harry asked her why she was so quiet. SHe didn't end up answering, she said she had to do something and ran off.

"Why did I do that?" said Hermione frantically.

"I need to go to the library, that always calms me down."

As she entered the library, she found that they had added a muggle section. There was a book called "Superman", it was very short and consisted of pictures with dialogue instead of the traditional story.

The "Comic Book" as she had figured out it was called, was about a man that had superhuman abilities, his only weakness was a green crystal called "kryptonite".

"So that's where they get the saying!" exclaimed Hermione, excited to learn something new.

"Kryptonite is the weakness in all of us!"
