Man can and has created more than he thinks~ unknown

Jamie's pov.

I knocked on Wrens door, no answer. I started to look under every thing on the door step, no extra key. "Wren" I yelled, "come on there's a heat storm going on... let me in" no answer. I tried the door...unlocked. it was burning up in her house! I checked the thermostat; 108 degrees? it's 90 degrees outside!

"Wren?" no wonder she couldn't hear me, my answer was the sweet song of metal hitting plastic in the basement, I walked down the steps to see Wren swinging away at the plastic dummy usually used to train cops how to fight. "wait-how did she even get a sword in California?" I pulled my self from my thoughts. Wren was putting away the sword.

"hey...you o.k." I asked her.

"guess who's not here or will be here for weeks?" she asked me.

"your great aunt, my parents told me, that's why I came to check on you." I told her.

"oh," she responds

"how'd you get a sword in California any how"

she didn't respond at first she was to busy putting a pirates of the Caribbean movie in, then she sighed and answered as she flopped down in one of the bean-bag chairs,

"Grandfather made it for me, back in the U.K" this was one of the few times she dropped the fake American accent and spoke in her normal half French-half British accent, "you don't need to check on me, go home." she answered sweetly.

"what if something happens, you need to come with me." I say smugly.

"nothings going to happen." she tells me.

"what if lightning strikes the house?" I ask, she doesn't answer.

"what are you going to do if the power go's out?" I ask, she got this look in her eye as she gave me a smug smirk.

"watching all those childish pirate movies as you Americans apparently call them," she said, "has taught me to be... creative" she chose her words carefully, she once again spoke in her false American accent.

"fine...see you at school tomorrow" I tell her as I leave. I walked through the door and started to walk home, I turned around to just plain out drag Wren out of the house just in case as lightning strikes the house and it catches on fire.

"Wren!" I scream. this can not be happening. I heard my mother emerge from our house and scream for my dad to call 911! "this isn't happening...Wren!" I cried out as fire trucks and rescue teams showed up. they destroyed the fire, and the rescue team came out of the house with a burnt husk that I knew had once been, my weird, cross breed friend

R.I.P Wren Pardel

Wren's pov

the television began to start acting weird I got up to fix it as electricity surged through my body. I felt flames swallow me whole but I felt no pain, the walls melted into blackness,

"man can and has create more than he believes with imagination." an wispy voice told me, "and I must ask; where have you imaged being the most, honestly?"

"who are you?" I asked

"answer my question Mrs. Pardel, where do you want to be most"

"you already know that don't you" I asked the voice smugly.

"yes...a touch of destiny!"

next thing I knew I was dropping through the air and hit the water below me as people upon a ship yelled. I sunk deeper and deeper into the black water as a dreadlocked man pulled me from the water. I knew who the voice was...

"Calypso"
