Bowser hated Daisy.

He reflected on this many a time, especially after that "incident" when he had first encountered her.

The massive, surly Koopa king approached the yellow-clad princess from behind, and when she turned around, he was sure that he had succeeded in intimidating her. He was sure that he could get her to fork over her Stars.

This is when she smashed him straight in the face and sent him flying.

He had nightmares about that wench.

Every Kart race, every Party, every Sports event-the foul yellow goblin would show her face around. Bowser was sure to stay out of her way, as he didn't want to go through with having his jaw sewn back into place again.

The worst part about all this is that Daisy was Princess Peach's best friend-who recently moved in with Peach, for her kingdom of Sarasaland was destroyed by the Shroob invasion of last month; only, it was beyond reparation. The Mushroom Kingdom, however, was fine, like Bowser's kingdom.

The Shroobs had signed a pact with Tatanga, and allied with him in his conquest of Sarasaland, which led to its ultimate ruin and Daisy's fleeing.

Peach had sent Mario to save Daisy, as Luigi didn't need to be told: he was already at Sarasaland beating back the Shroobs upon its ruins. The kingdom became a lifeless crater, and Tatanga was furious with the Shroobs. He killed the remaining Shroobs just in time for Mario to finish him off.

Meanwhile, Peach gave her good friend a comforting rub on the back as Daisy cried about her inability to help her people.

Bowser could not believe the sight; Daisy, the most dangerous woman he knows, crying over a ruined kingdom?

That just didn't make any sense to him.

Until these very moments, he hated her, sure, but in a way, he admired her.

He admired her strength and courage.

Bowser was also the master of seeing his Kingdom destroyed and having to rebuild it. He knew what she was going through, and he knew it was only a matter of time until Sarasaland could be repaired, and that it would take a lot of aid from Mushroom land.

He could understand the awful feeling of being invaded, as he himself had gone through with it a couple of times. He bent in closer to the window, wanting to see if Peach was in a vulnerable enough position to be snatched by him. But she had an upset Daisy in her arms.

Daisy eventually stopped crying at looked at the window, as Bowser was peering in.

She noticed the look of empathy on Bowser's face and smiled.

The surly Koopa sneered and pulled back from the window.

Perhaps today wasn't a good day to kidnap Princess Peach, after all. Maybe he'd just have to wait until Sarasaland is rebuilt.

The massive reptile lumbered backwards and began to walk away.

"Get better, Daisy."
