Fallen

Sirius Black was taught to be graceful, in fact many can only recall five times he fell. The first two were hexes from some third year Slytherins, and an angry second year Remus Lupin who found out who had been stealing his chocolate. The other three were a little more drastic.

Sirius has been in fifth year at the time, he had people who loved him and people who hated him, he even had a love-hate relationship with a few people. Then Snape had started poking his large greasy nose in other peoples business, he started asking questions and Sirius was annoyed enough to give him the answers. Sirius Black told Snape to go to his werewolf friend. Severus Snape wasn't injured thankfully for Remus, and reluctantly agreed not to tell anyone. The marauders shunned Sirius. Sirius no longer had anyone who loved him, nor any of the strange love-hate relationships, Sirius Black only had people who hated him.

Sirius Black was used to being hated, that was practically his entire family's mood about him. He got over that fairly quickly especially since he had friends to help him, but the loss of his best mates hit him hard. Sirius Black fell down into a pit of self hatred, self abuse, and wondered if anyone could ever love him.

The forth time was when Sirius was convicted of the Potters murders. He didn't care about being locked up (he had lead them to their death after all) but he hated the fact that he didn't know what would happen to his godson Harry, and the fact that Remus would not only think he had been a death eater and told Voldemort where his best friend had been, but also that Peter had died an honorable death. Sirius Black fell for the fourth time and stayed down for a long time but he got up twelve years later. After all he had to keep his godson safe.

The fifth time Sirius Black fell was the last time. He had gone to make sure his godson was safe and had met his cousin Bellatrix while there, Sirius had always loved a good duel and this one was no exception he had his godson by his side. The fight was going their way and Sirius hardly even noticed his mistake, Sirius hardly even noticed he said James but that little slipped made him falter and he was quickly thrown backwards toward the mysterious veil. Sirius Black fell into the veil, it was Sirius' last fall. When he stood up he was surrounded by his fallen friends and he couldn't help a smile that spread across his face.
