Author's Note: I promised my friend that I'd write a story about the complications in Eiri and Shuichi's relationship, and how it doesn't quite carry over to the American audience, since the Japanese's idea of love is so much different than the western perspective. I could write a whole article on the differences alone, but I don't want to bore you all, unless of course, you'd like me to write it. I'd be thrilled to explain it

Anywho, I needed to write something to warm up my writing for class, and I couldn't get into the feel of the characters enough to work on the stories I have pending, so here's a drabble to put up in the meantime.

Enjoy!

Shuichi had the uncanny ability to make everyone in the room feel as though his full attention was reserved for them; he had the same affect on stage, which owed to much of Bad Luck's success. When the kid sang, he captivated everyone in the auditorium, or stadium, depending on the size of their concert. Somehow he had the ability to reach out and sing to each and every person that swarmed the concerts. Shuichi was like a magnet strong enough to drive the North and South poles together.

Hiroshi couldn't imagine the shock Yuki-san experienced when Shuichi first jumped into his life. The kid was indestructible, a breath of new life, really, since he turned the novelists' life completely upside down. Ever since Yuki-san subconsciously accepted the fact that he wanted Shuichi around forever, Hiro knew Yuki-san hardly let the boy out of his sight.

To Eiri, Shuichi was his life, and every breath of air he took.

To Shuichi, Eiri was the drive behind everything. Hiroshi couldn't figure it out, and he knew it drove the blonde man insane trying to figure out why Shuichi stuck around. To the vocalist, it just, made sense: like the way cherry blossoms always fell the same time every year.

There was no sense behind their fateful meeting, and somehow it became a drug impossible to break free of.

But why did he stay?

Did Eiri also have some magnetic force that had awoken at their first meeting? Hiroshi knew the blonde was hardly one to woo Shuichi with romantic sap, and spent more time avoiding the vocalist than anyone in a four-year-long committed relationship.

There was one thing Hiroshi knew for sure, and his suspicions were confirmed during their last tour.

Every time Bad Luck braked for lunch, Eiri was there, waiting just outside the door to take the giggling vocalist back to their room and screw him sideways before returning smugly to hand a stupidly grinning Shuichi back over to his band mates.

Then, Kitazawa Riku came into the picture, and instead of complaining each time the vocalist ditched his boyfriend and adopted son for work, Eiri put up with the kid until lunch time, when the novelist trudged over with the young boy and took them all to lunch, not even demanding that Shuichi pay for the "brat's" share. While Riku ran on ahead, Yuki-san let Shuichi snuggle into his side, and even pulled the vocalist closer as they continued.

Yes, things had certainly changed.
