Title: Forget
Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognize
Author's Notes: I should probably warn you that I haven't written much poems, and never before in English. So, I don't really know how to write good poems, but hopefully you like this anyway. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
He was staring at the fire
Trying to forget what he had done
That day
This year
For so many years
Since he was young
As young as she was
---
She saw him trying to forget
And remembered what she had dreamed of
Real love
From him
It would never happen
Those cold, hateful words
But she could not forget
---
And she went to him, saying:
I think I can help you forget
Those thoughts
That pain
The things you do
For all of us
At least for the night
---
And he was staring at her
Capturing her waist with his big hands
Her lips
So soft
She heard a whisper:
I am surely not
A good enough person
To make you turn away
Thanks for reading. A review would really make my day.
