Annie saw the pain in Nina's eyes before Nina allowed it to show. When she did show it George was at her side instantly. Annie and Mitchell were staying close to corners of the hospital room because Nina didn't really want them near her while she was in labor. When they had asked why she said she wasn't to comfortable with Mitchell near her and Mitchell understood why. He was a vampire after all.

So Mitchell was standing next to the door so that when Nina was ready to deliver her and George's baby he could leave. Annie walked over to him and put a comforting hand on his arm. Mitchell looked down at her and smiled. Just a few weeks previous they found out that they were going to parents soon. Mitchell softly kissed her on the nose.

George who had looked up from Nina saw this and smiled softly to himself. "Mitchell," he said, "why don't you and Annie go get a coffee or something down at the cafeteria."

"Okay, George," said Annie.

Mitchell and Annie walked down the hall and got in the lift. Mitchell turned to Annie, "Do you think we're going to be good parents?" he asked.

She looked at him and said softly, "I don't know."

The two had kind of retreated into their own thoughts and were startled when the elevator dinged. They walked down to the cafeteria and were surprised to see that it was empty. Normally at this time there would be at least twenty people there. At least the lady at the counter was there. Mitchell and Annie walked over to her and Mitchell said, "Morning, Michelle, can I have one coffee and a chocolate doughnut?"

"Right away," said Michelle.

A few minutes later Michelle came back with Mitchell's order. Mitchell took it and joined Annie at a table. Annie looked a bit sad so Mitchell asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," said Annie.

"Annie, I've known you long enough to know that you are not okay."

"My parents always wanted a grandchild and when I "died" they thought my sister would have children but she can't have children and now I'm pregnant and my parents don't know that I'm dead because there never was a funeral or memorial service for me. So I want to see my parents."

Mitchell looked at her straight in the eyes and said, "Sure."

"Really?"

"Yeah, we can see your parents. Where do they live?"

"London."

Annie smiled and kissed him from across the table. Almost as soon as they kissed Mitchell's phone went off. Laughing he answered it. "What, George?"

"It's a girl!" exclaimed George.

"Good. Hey, me and Annie are going to London."

"Why?"

"Annie wants to see her parents."

"Okay. wait don't her parents know that she's dead?"

"No."

"Fine. Be careful."

"We will."

After George hung up Mitchell and Annie walked to the parking lot to get in Mitchell's car and go to London.
