When Ziva David walked into the bullpen of NCIS she knew the man sitting at the desk was not the man she was looking for. The man she was looking for was Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the man she was looking at was Anthony Dinozzo. Tony told her that Gibbs had left and asked if he could help her. During her wait for Gibbs she got a call and after hearing the voice on the phone she switched to Hebrew to talk to her little girl. Ziva's daughter's name was Anna Kathleen David-Gibbs. No one but Ziva and a few people at the hospital knew that Anna had 2 last names. Not even Anna knew that she had two last names. Anna had caramel colored skin and dark curly hair like her mother but her eyes were a different thing her eyes were a mix on the outside edge brown and on the inside the striking crystal blue of her father's eyes. The one thing was that her father didn't know that she existed and that was why Ziva volunteered for this trip. Anna was in the US staying with Ziva's good friend Jenny Shepard. Anna was born on May 22, 2003 and she would be 2 years old in a month.
Ziva had met Gibbs when he was at an interagency conference in Tel Aviv in August of 2002. Gibbs had spent 2 weeks shadowing Ziva. After a week Ziva made the first move and pinned him to his bed then started kissing him all over. When Gibbs got back everyone noticed how happy he was for about 12 hours them he went back to his cold demeanor. Gibbs figured that he would never see Ziva ever again after one of the best weeks in his life. As Gibbs walked back into the bullpen he took a double take at the woman sitting at his desk with her feet up talking on the phone.
The woman that Gibbs saw sitting at his desk hung up her phone stood up and walked over to Jenny and started speaking in Hebrew. The only thing that Gibbs and Tony could make out was their names and the name Anna. Soon Jenny and Ziva stopped talking and Ziva took a small set of keys from Jenny and motioned for Gibbs to follow her into the elevator. Once the elevator door shut and was moving for 5 or so seconds Gibbs hit the emergency switch and cornered Ziva in the back of the elevator. Ziva made the first move again and put her arms around his neck and kissed him. After she pulled away she spoke in a low voice saying, Jethro there is something I need to tell you. Gibbs raised his eyebrows but stayed quiet. Two weeks after you left Tel Aviv I found out I was pregnant with your child Jethro. Gibbs looked dumbstruck but still was quiet and waited for Ziva to finish. Ziva continued speaking saying on May 22, 2003 Anna Katheen David-Gibbs was born. She continued by saying, Anna knows who you are and she is at Jenny's house right now waiting to meet you. Gibbs restarted the elevator after kissing Ziva again and opened the door to his car for her to get in then sped off to the New Directors home.
After breaking countless traffic laws they made it to Jenny's home and ziva le herself in with a key. Once inside the foyer they heard the sound of little feet running to the front of the house. A little girl with caramel colored skin, brown curly hair and stunning blue eyes ran to Ziva yelling, Ima Ima. Ziva dropped down on her knees to hug the little girl. After hugging her mother Anna pointed at Gibbs and said, Abba. Gibbs dropped down beside of Ziva and hugged his two girls.
