Naruto's Proposal

Naruto's Proposal

'Where is she? My enigma,

My angel, my fantasy?

A tall, young man continuously paced the area in front of a small ramen stand. Normally, he would have already been inside and ordering two of everything on the menu, but tonight was special.

'Where is my blue-haired, violet-eyed goddess

With a smell so sweet; where can she be?

He once more ran an impatient hand through his sun-kissed hair. "Come on, Hinata. Hurry up!" he cried up to the glowing moon watching over peaceful Konoha.

'With every pitiful howl,

I realize something I've always known.

His fingers itched to reach into his pocket and take another look at it, but he resisted. He checked once more up and down the dark walkway, interrupted by glowing lamps every few feet.

'Every howl I cry for you,

I realize that you have my soul.

"Damn it, Hinata, where are you?" He growled. "Impatient as always, Naruto-kun." A small, almost musical voice giggled behind him.

'Oh, you do not know, my little bird

How I've longed to hear your quiet song.

Naruto's cerulean eyes brightened and he ran over to and scooped up the small young woman. She had a light pink blush over her creamy cheeks and under her light lilac eyes.

'You don't know how you torture me,

Never keep me waiting so long.

He set her down, and tucked a long indigo hair behind her ear. He stood arrow straight and serious (a rare occurrence). 'How am I going to do this?' he thought.

'My throat goes dry,

But that won't do

The Hyuuga took a long, thin, milk-white finger up to the lad's cheek and began tracing the whisker-like scars absently. "What's wrong, Naurto-kun? You're usually never so quiet."

'My darling,

I have something to ask of you.

"Naruto-kun?" "Uh…" was all he could manage.

'If I asked, what would you say?

Would you just laugh, wave me away?

The blonde dropped to one knee. He cleared his throat and reached in his navy pocket.

'This is it,

My one last chance

"Hinata-chan…"

'To have you, sweet angel;

Have you at last.

"…would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" The woman was silent, eyes wide. Naruto's face fell, and he stood, turning to go.

'I should have known it's too good to be true.

I don't deserve a goddess like you.

He stopped when he left a small hand on his large wrist. "What took you so long, my silly Naruto-kun?" she whispered, pulling him into a sweet, loving kiss.

'She accepted me, and not a moment too soon!

Can she feel my ecstasy bright as the moon?'

Naruto had never felt so amazing in his life. He felt incredible, invincible. He knew with Hinata as his wife, he would never feel alone again. He then looked her straight in the eyes. "All of this has made me hungry!" he said, rubbing his empty stomach. She giggled. "Naruto-kun."
