Tales from the Social Monstrosity
[Skip To The End For The Voting Pole]
It was quiet in the cramped, stuffy hovel where our little author resided in. Besides the occasional tip tap of the keyboard, not much has been going on, doubly so for the poor fool's mind, barren of anything resembling creativity.
Although, you got to give the man credit where credit is due. The man, in vein I should say, was squatting on his bed in his Adventure Time onesie, desperately typing a sentence or two every half hour, only to erase an entire day's work. All because it didn't meet the man's strict yet somehow loose standards. How that's even possible is beyond me.
Yep, there really was nothing swimming around that desolate mind.
Not. One. Thing.
"HEY! That's not necessarily true, ominous voice in my head!"
Oh?
"In fact, I'd say it's the exact opposite."
Do tell.
"Well you see, my mind is honestly just completely stuffed with ideas that's it's about ready to burst. So much so that every time I think of a new one, I abandon whatever I'm currently working on and jump straight to another, and so on and so forth."
Ooh, sounds like quite the conundrum. Have you thought up a remedy for such a problem yet?
"I think so. Want to hear it?"
Of course.
"Well, since more than half of my ideas are half formed, incomplete, or just straight up single sentenced, I think the best course of action is to,"
Write everything I have for them so far
Group them all into a compilation of sorts
Send them out as is and see what the public thinks
I see. Wait, what would you have the readers do?
"Well, seeing as how I'm writing for their enjoyment (mostly), I figured I'd leave it up to them which ones I should focus on, which ones I should put on the backburner, and/or if I should just abandon it completely."
Okay, that seems reasonable.
"Thank you."
Well, I guess the only question I have is, which one are you thinking of writing first?
"Oh! Well truthfully, I was thinking of leaving that up to the readers."
Splendid.
"Right? Anyway, readers go ahead and pick which of these you'd love to read about first. Don't be shy."
…
Number One: "Protectors of Ooo" [Adventure Time]
Number Two: "DC's The Accountant [DC Comics]
Number Three: "Ben 10: Omni Arena" [Ben 10]
…
"Alright guys, see you next time! And don't worry, I'll have way more on the way."
Goodbye!
"Bye!"
