When the Rampion reached the white blankets on snow on the mountains, Cress watched from the window, eyes wide wide excitement. She spun around, nearly knocking over Wolf, whose green eyes were sparkling with curiosity.
After apologizing quickly, Cress sank into a chair. Snow, she thought gleefully. Cress stood up again, not able to sit down. She started pacing around the room.
Thorne noticed her restlessness.
A few minutes later, the Rampion slowed down. Thorne walked over to Cress.
"Someone wants to go outside, I'm guessing." He grinned.
Cress's blue eyes were wide, shining with enthusiasm.
Kai appeared next to Cinder, who had been watching Cress with amusement, and gallantly offered his elbow. She took it, sending a backwards glance at Cress, as if saying, See you later!
Cress was not as lucky. As soon as she got near the door, Thorne lifted her up and tossed her into snow a couple of feet away.
Instead of glaring, she sank down into the snow, the hugest grin on her face.
Thorne chuckled at her. He kissed her pink nose, which made her cheeks turn even rosier.
All this Wolf watched from the window.
Scarlet glanced at him from her place at the kitchen.
"Shall we?"
Wolf's green eyes sparkled mischievously.
"We shall."
With that, he grabbed her hand, dragging her out into the winter wonderland.
