1991, January
It was a tiresome day for Beth. Her band, Devil's Grin, of two years is skyrocketing and their manager says it's best to ride the waves now more than ever with the release of their 2nd album 'Unexpired, Unloved'. Working around the clock or rather singing around the clock as the lead vocalist, Beth still finds time to write in her Diary.
Dear Diary,
Today was exhausting. I tried to call daddy but I guess he's still mad at me. I love him but I also love my art.
I was interviewed today and they say it's unconventional for a girl like me to be a rockstar. Well, I immediately thought about ABBA but then again they are pop. I just said that I always wanted to perform onstage and music became my passion. Then there was the issue of my age, they said I am too young and I almost flipped the bird at the host good thing I was taught manners and my father might be watching. Gosh, I am 18 and I'm old enough to do what I like. Then they directed the questions to Old dale (They should ask him that), Jim (He doesn't like to be called Jimmy) and Zach. Finally, it's finished and we get to perform.
I want to take a leap on my artistry; I'll be performing screamo soon. That's all
With that, Beth decided to sleep but before she washes her makeup. Living on her own, she decided that it was very different from her life at the farm which was simple. With her current wealth, she was able to purchase an apartment with 2 bedrooms and from her point of view it was truly worth it being on the far side of the town and only their manager Miss Michonne knowing the location. Feeling proud and happy, she goes to bed but still can't sleep.
She begins to hum a tune and a lyric for their screamo song.
I, I, I, I, I walk by grim sidewalk
Children with guns threw pastel chalk
And I thought of yooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuu hwaaaa
Beth then started to fall asleep. Little did she know someone is watching her in the shadows of her dark room…
