Why Me?
Gran? Where's that teaspoon I just wash......oh, it was in my pockeeeeeeaaaayuck! I think I'll wash it again.
Never mind Neville! I'll do it, while you go get ready. Hurry! we're meant to be there in ten minutes.
Okay Gran.
Neville, now a seventeen year old boy, had hardly changed memory-wise. He still was as forgetful as ever, but also as cheerful as ever. His lack of memory may not have changed, but his appearance certainly had.
The once pale boy had now broken out with pimples, and also lost some weight, since his summer break.
On the other hand his Grandmother, seemed to be in a bad mood more frequently, as Neville, seemed to be losing or misplacing things more frequently.
Are we nearly there yet Gran?
Nevile said in a tone somewhere between misery and happiness.
Nearly. We've got around ten minutes more untill we arrive. Untill then, be patient.
Visits to see Neville's parents were always- not what you'd call fun.
It was always a miserable place, where everyone seemed to go about as if it were the rules to be unhappy, and even if it were, nothing would have changed.
So whenever Neville and his Grandmother went, he didn't know whether to be happy about seeing his parents or sad about the state he would see them in.

H....hi m..mum, hi dad....
Neville didn't have a clue what to say, but every visit, it was always this way.
His Grandmother usually couldn't bare to be in the same room, so as normal, she waited outside the room untill Neville wanted to go home.
Nurse?, Have your team come any closer to finding a treatment?
I'm afraid not, but the chances of ever finding a treatment, are still low. I'm sorry.
As Neville quietly watched his parents, deep into the night, a tear gently slid down the side of his face.
Neville, sweety, it's time we should go home. We can visit again next week again if you like.
Okay, I'm tired anyway, lets go.

Tossing and turning all through the night. Not a minute of it was spent with sleep and rest.
All his time was spent thinking about his parents.
The way their faces seemed frozen, but with warmth in their cheeks.
The way they seemed so lifeless, and sad. The way they had that look of sheer terror on their faces.
The way their hands were so stiff, but looked as if they were going to brake as soon as they were touched.
The way they looked as if they were never to come back.

Hi Neville! How was your summer break?
Hello Hermione! Oh it was fine thanks.
Truthfully, Neville could not describe how much misery and pain his summer holiday held, but he never had told anyone about his parents, and was happy enough keeping it all blocked out of his life while at his school, Hogwarts.
