Drake stood in the corner, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
"Why are you like this?" Diana asked in horror.
"Shut-up," he said, his whip lashing out, hitting Diana's all ready bleeding back, "I don't want to talk."
Diana grimaced, pulling at her bound arms, trying to yank them free of their restraints attached to the ceiling above her. "Why?" she cried.
"Because," Drake rushed up behind her, lips to her ear, "It's a statement. A statement to freaks." He started up on his rant, "I've said it so many times before, it's not who has the power it's who has no fear. You're death could have been quick and easy, like Caine's," Diana flinched, "But after the way you've treated me..." he took a second to get a hold on himself, "Well there was no way that's possible."
Diana began to sob. She had so many regrets. She remembered the day she left the possibility of being on Sam's side. She wanted to go back, she wanted to change everything, but that was an impossibility now as Drake whipped the back of her legs, drawing more blood.
"Just do it," She thought to herself, "Just let me die..."
Bang. Bang.
Caine shot up out of bed, but it was not his bed. Sweat stained sheets tangled around his half naked body.
Bang. Bang.
"Just a dream," he told himself, "Just a dream..."
Bang. Bang. Bang.
The knocking at the door got harsher, more persistent.
"Come in," Caine yelled. His voice was hoarse and cracked at odd intervals.
Diana walked in, looking much like she had aged forty years.
"I brought food," she said in her usual snarky tone. She placed the plate oh Caine's exposed chest.
Though it was out of character, Caine's nightmare was still fresh in his mind, so he watched as Diana left, and right before she walked out the door he replied, "Thanks." and the door closed.
Diana closed the door to the gardener's. She looked around before sighing lovingly and leaning back against the door.
"You're welcome, Caine," she pretended to say in her head, as if everything was different, as if they weren't in the FAYZ, "I love you."
A/N: Well, that was only slightly disturbing, right? Thanks for reading, as always, tell me what you think! Bye!
