They were as majestic as everyone had said. They were graceful, beautiful, powerful. I knew that my poor Marshtomp could definitely not take one of them, no matter how cocky he was. I clutched his Poke Ball tightly, not wanting to lose him. I knew there was probably no way that I could, but I was suddenly a little frightened.

Misty, the red-head, saw my worried look and smiled. "Hey, don't worry. They're just Pokemon. Imagine if Marshtomp was one of those, then would you be scared?" I thought about that. "A little." She laughed softly at that. "Well, don't." I nodded, feeling the slightest bit reassured.

That sensation didn't last long. Before anyone could tell what was happening, we were overturned. The boat had been flipped upside-down and we were all struggling not to scream or die. It was a little difficult. It was just Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and I out on the boat. Brock had been driving. Wanted to show us this awesome place. I don't think he wanted to drown us, though.

"Misty!" yelled Ash. Great. Thanks for caring about me, Ash!

"Y-yeah?" was her reply. I heard him sigh heavily. For that, I rolled my eyes. I thought I heard her giggle softly, but it might have been my imagination.

"Pika-pikA!" said Pikachu. I didn't know what it meant, though.

I stayed quiet. I wasn't sure what to say. I hadn't wanted to be here, and Ash had finally gotten me to come, and now this.

I inhaled deeply before sending out Marshtomp. "Maar!" I grabbed ahold of the fin on his head. "Misty," I said, "don't you, like, have water Pokemon?" I heard her giggle, for real this time. "Of course, silly!" I heard a Pokemon being pulled out of her bag and she released Starmie. "Then follow me," I told her, then I told Marshtomp to get me the hell out of there. He obeyed, ducking his head under the water and barreling away like his own current.

I nearly screamed at what I saw. On the bank of the river stood the scariest thing I'd ever seen. "I hate dragons," I whispered to Marshtomp. I could feel him shaking, but I didn't want to move. That all ended when Misty's head popped out of the water, laughing quite loudly. "Shut up!" I hissed. She didn't see the Tyranitar. I didn't know how, it was huge and ugly, but she didn't see it.

Soon, Ash's head appeared, too. "Ohh! So that's what tipped over the boat!" he said loudly, spotting the Tyranitar. Then, "Crap, where's Brock?" I shrugged. Misty shrugged. Ash saw him before we did. "There!" he said, pointing at the beast that sunk our boat. "Um, I hate to break it to ya', Ash, but that's not Brock," I told him. "Not that thing! Next to that thing!" Misty and I then saw what he was talking about.

Brock was next to the monster, and it looked like he was talking to it. Sopping wet and he was talking to the T-Rex. I concluded that he must be insane.

At about that time, I stopped listening. I realized where we were, felt very unprotected, and withdrew Marshtomp into his Poke Ball. I tried very hard to choke back any emotion, especially fear. Because if there's one thing I knew, it was that a five-hundred-pound dragon could kill me.
