Lullaby
Makoto lays down on the bed next to Haru. He shuts his eyes but sleep doesn't come. He rolls over to face Haru.
"Haru, I can't fall asleep."
Makoto suddenly has an idea.
"Can you sing me a lullaby?"
Haru doesn't respond and Makoto sighs slightly disappointed but was not surprised. Haru wasn't the type to show affection in such a way. Makoto was about to tell Haru he was joking when Haru began to sing very quietly.

Makoto's eyes widen with shock. He hadn't expected Haru to sing to him at all, but that song surprised him even more.
"H-Haru?"
Haru's eyes seemed to sparkle in the dark. Makoto couldn't look away.
"I like your singing."
Makoto's voice came out as a whisper. Haru wrapped his arms around Makoto's waist. Makoto let out a little gasp.
"Mm… Makoto?"
"W-What is it Haru?"
Haru's voice came out muffled.
"I…"
"I can't hear you Haru.."
"I said I love you Makoto."
Makoto's body jolted a little in shock.
"Y-You do?"
Haru nodded and nuzzled his head into Makoto's chest. Makoto smiled then, a wide genuine smile.
"I love you too."
Makoto kissed Haru's closed lids before kissing him softly on the lips. Makoto chuckled. Haru frowned.
"What's so funny?"
"How am I supposed to fall asleep now?"
"Idiot."
Haru buried his face in Makoto's chest again. Makoto wrapped his arms around Haru. snuggling him closer. They fell asleep like that, wrapped in each other's embrace with smiles plastered on both of their faces.
