This Little Light O' Mine
Chapter 1
"Why should I be fucking calm!" Charlie screamed, grabbing the nearest heavy object (a candlestick) and hurling it across the room at Monroe. "I'm done with being calm Bass, I'm done."
Monroe dodged the candlestick, and it smashed through the glass window behind him. "Jesus Christ Charlotte. I was only gone for three hours."
"ONLY three hours? Does it take three hours to get food? Did you decide to stop along the way for a fucking picnic. Or was there some sort of Monroe Republic Reunion you stumbled across. I was going out of my mind Bass!"
"You know, I thought that Rachel had a tendency for the dramatic, but you, Charlotte, you take it to a whole new level."
"YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!" Charlie yelled. "I COULD SHOOT YOU RIGHT NOW I'M SO MAD!"
"Okay," Monroe said, nodding his head. He pulled out his shotgun and took several tentative steps towards her. She folded her arms, her eyebrows raised. "Here." He held out the gun to her. "Take it. Shoot me."
"You're an idiot."
"So I've been told."
Charlie sighed, "Put the gun away, Sebastian."
"Not until you shoot me."
"This isn't funny."
"I'm not laughing, I'm begging you to kill me, please Charlie. I can't stand one more minute of you bitching at me. Running a nation, I could handle that. Being a fugitive, that was easy. Having everyone I ever cared about hate me, I couldn't care less. But being with you, Charlotte, I just can't take one more minute of it." He dropped to his knees "Come on Charlie."
"You know, killing you would solve a lot of my problems." Charlie said. Turning her back on Monroe. "For one, I wouldn't be on the run with the most wanted man in the entire Country." She heard Monroe chuckle behind her. "I could go back and help my family fight with the Texans against the bomb-dropping Patriots, which is, really, where I should be." She could hear him get up and move towards her, but she just continued, "Can't you just imagine the smug look on Miles' face?"
"I wouldn't have to run away to some stupid island with you," Then she sighed. "And I could use all that reward money."
There was a moment of silence before Monroe asked, "Use it all for what?"
She turned around to face him, and he saw the tears welling up in her eyes, which caught him off guard.
"For what?" He asked again.
Charlie tried to swallow her tears but they came anyways, making her next words hard to understand.
"To get myself the safest damn abortion in the Country."
Monroe's throat was suddenly very dry, "To get what?"
"We have a situation, Bass."
I dreamt this story. Literally, dreamt it last night. So here is the first chapter.. of.. what I hope will continue because I've been having writers block on everything recently. Please leave my nice little reviews! I know I always write about people being pregnant... blahh.. I need to have babies I guess.
