CATS Alternative Ending
(Begins after "Macavity")
Demeter heard a blood-curling scream coming from behind the dumpster, and an evil laugh that sounded as if it came from the devil himself. She looked over to see her daughter, Jemima against the wall. Then she saw him, one eye a dirty green, and the other as black as night. She backed up slowly and felt Munkustrap behind her. She gave a half-smile, but he looked back down with a stern face, more serious then she had ever seen him. "Stay away, Demeter, and make sure Jemima does too. I love you." He whispered. Demeter frowned. "No, Munku… what are you going to do? Don't talk like that! Stay with me! You have a family."
But she couldn't stop him. Munkustrap walked away and Macavity stared. "Is this a challenge, little brother?" Macavity said with a menacing smirk.
"You know why I'm here, and don't you dare call me your brother in front of my family. Either leave the junkyard and never come back, or we'll settle this right now." Munkustrap spoke in a low voice. There was an awful silence, and Macavity lips curved into a big smile. "I'll go with the second one, just to make it easier on me… I don't want to waste TOO much energy though, so let's just make this quick." He said with a laugh while picking at his finger nails.
"No dad, no!" Jemima yelled against the junkyard. Munkustrap shot her a cautious look and then lunged at Macavity, leaving Macavity's cheek bleeding slightly. He licked the inside of his mouth before striking back. Munkustrap tackled Macavity dizzily and scratched his face. Macavity threw Munkustrap off of his chest, got back to his feet and kneed him in the stomach. Munkustrap tripped Macavity and they were both on the floor. They scratched each other repeatedly, both of them severely injured by then.
They both got up and tried to throw one another back to the ground, when Macavity flipped Munkustrap over. He tried for a second to regain balance, but fell back to the floor, unconscious.
Macavity leaned over and turned Munkustrap's head to the side, making sure he had won. He laughed. Demeter and Jemima thought it was over, and they sobbed when all of a sudden Alonzo came from behind Macavity and jumped on his back. Macavity spun around a few times, but Alonzo wouldn't quit. He scratched at the back of Macavity's head. Macavity ran around, trying to get Alonzo off. Finally they ended up in the street, Alonzo looked over to see a car coming, and he gasped and threw Macavity to the ground. He had gotten away just before the car drove by, leaving Macavity as nothing but road-kill. He smiled, although he felt kind of bad, he was bursting with pride. But then he remembered Munkustrap… "Celebrate later" he thought to himself.
Everyone was crowded around Munkustrap, his face; his stomach and his chest were bleeding badly and he was barely breathing.
