From tears to tears

Were always together
Never to part
But times go along
We change, but still cling
Our thoughts transfer different
Attached by but a string
I still think of you
Even to this very day
I wish we had never parted
And not gone this way
Friends, I have had many
Best, only a time or two
Each touched my heart
Giving me something new
But up in the spotlight
You still remain
Still shining like a star
Bathing in fame
Together forever
