A/N- Hey guys. This is just a little one-shot that I threw together at three o'clock in the morning. Hope it's alright. I know Lily is a bit OOC but I think it's more because she is really hurt. Hope you enjoy it. As always READ & REVIEW…
"Lily! Lily! Come back…. Come back…." A boy screamed. He was small, thin and was wearing tatty secondhand robes.
"Severus! How could you? You tell me I'm your friend, and then you call me such a dreadful name like that!" The girl with long, straight red hair spun around.
"Lily. I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!" The boy, Severus, said as he grabbed her arm.
"Severus, you never mean anything! That's your standard apology. Isn't it? When you say something you know you shouldn't have, you pull out the "I didn't mean it" line. Well, Severus. That's it. The last time! You can't be my friend, and hang out with those Death Eater kids. Oh, come one Sev, don't look at me that way. You know they'll become Death Eaters one day. Are you going to join them?"
Lily stared intently into his eyes, trying to get an honest answer out of him. Severus didn't say a word. He just continued to stare at the ground.
"Oh, Sev! You are, aren't you? Severus Snape! How could you? I knew you'd turn into one of them the day you started hangout with those boys. Well, It's me or them! You can't have both! I will not be friends with one of them!" Lily spoke in a calm voice, but anyone who looked at her, didn't have to look twice to know she was pissed off.
"Yeah, well who are you going to hang around with? Hey! Potter? Yeah, bet he'd love that! Just so he can rub his grubby little hands all over you! Lily, do you really think he truly loves you? You'll go to bed one night with him by your side and the next morning you'll wake up alone! That's right. He'll be gone! " Severus got defensive.
"You don't know anything!" Lily hissed. "You wouldn't ever have that problem Severus. Because no one would ever want to sleep with you." Lily retorted.
"So you would take perfect Potter over me, you're best friend?" Severus asked, already knowing what the answer would be.
" No Severus. I choose Potter over you. Someone who calls their best friend a mudblood, isn't best friend or even boyfriend material. Farewell Severus. Good luck being a Death Eater. I bet you can't wait until he gives you the Dark Mark. You're very own tattoo. You always wanted one of those didn't you Severus?" Lily skipped off and left Severus feeling down and shocked.
* Lily had never reacted that way before. She must have been really hurt. Severus, you stupid, dumb, turd! You just lost the girl you love! You should have fought harder.*
