London looked out to the crowd of high school students and parents. She smiled her biggest smile and locked eyes with her father, who was loud and proud in the audience. She gave his daughter a smile and a thumb up and she couldn't help but feel like she was on air, she had made her daddy proud. She looked over to the blonde who was waving to Carrie, the twins mother, but looking half as pleased as London. She leaned over to her ear, careful to speak low so none of the people would hear her. "Thank you, I would have been lost without you, meet me backstage." The blonde looked into her eyes and smiled, letting her know she would, and London got down and went behind the curtains. The blonde giggled and gave one final wave before exiting stage left after London. She saw her sitting on a bench, dress hanging down off the wood. The blonde gave her a weak smile and London stood up. "You're my best friend. I'm your friend too right?" The blonde thought a minute about the question before smiling.
"Of course you are." London inhaled deeply before locking eyes with the blonde.
"I love you." The blonde giggled and gave London a full tooth smile.
"I love you too London." London let out the breath she was holding and followed it with a sigh, the blonde obviously hadn't got what she meant.
"No Maddie, I love you." She drew out the last three words, hoping to lace it with some sort of meaning. Maddie's eye widened and she froze. She was caught so off guard, and she was sure she was about to have a heart attack. She had liked London since she had met her really. She walked into the room, so glamorous, an air of confidence around her. "Say something, anything." Maddie looked right into London's eyes and saw she was serious. The blonde grabbed fistfuls of London's dress and pulled her in. She let her lips hover for a few moments before connecting hers with London's. The kiss was warm, sensual, and slow, everything they had hoped it would be. London pulled the elastic out of Maddie's soft blonde hair and threw it away before tangling her fingers in the silk like strands. Maddie let go of the fabric and rested her hands on London's hips. They pulled apart when they needed air and rested their foreheads on each others, gazing into each others eyes, smiling like idiots.
"I love you too London." London let something close to a squee escape her lips before becoming serious again.
"Really?" Maddie had to chuckle at London, she always had to be reassured.
"Really." London leaned in and placed a chaste kiss on Maddie's lips and when she was done Maddie placed another on London.
