I walked out the doors to see her, standing on a wall, clothes ripped, tears streaking her face. Ron and Harry were at the base of the wall, reaching to her, trying to get her to climb down but she kept her face turned away. I ran around to try and catch her, but she jumped to much to the left. Her skull made a sickening crack and blood started to seep over the concrete. I ran to her, cradling her in my arms.
"Can't save me this time, Draco. I had to go. I love you" she whispered and closed her eyes for the last time. I began to cry, clutching her to my chest, her warm blood soaking my shirt but I didn't care.
As I sat there, a verse came into my head:
"Catch me if you can,
As I fall.
But you can't catch me at all.
'Cos I will run,
To make you miss,
So I can aim and embrace,
deaths sweet kiss."
My life, my love was dead. Hermione Jane Granger had left me alone in the dark.
