The microphone crackles.
"Bending is not unnatural. The moon bends the water; the Badgermole bends the Earth; the Dragon bends fire; and Sky Bison bends the air. It only becomes an aberration when a mortal uses it. Have the beasts ever waged war against each other? Did that celestial body? But mortals have, we have when granted bending-and not just against each other. Who drove the dragons and the sky bison to the brink of extinction decades ago? Who threatened the moon and forced a young girl to sacrifice her own life to rectify that crisis, with nothing but some bay named in her honor?"
The voice in the low-lit room lowers.
"Clearly mortals were never meant for such power, not when they abuse it so."
The voice deepens again.
"It is our turn to rectify this crisis. We must return to the natural order. Leave bending to the beasts, the moon. Only they are worthy of and responsible enough for such power."
The mircrophone crackles as the switch is clicked off.
