It only took a fleeting moment
To realize what love is
A glance
A smile
It wasn't supposed to happen this way
She wasn't supposed to fall in love with him
But how can you tell your heart not to feel?
How can you close your eyes and pretend he doesn't exist?
When all you hear is his voice
The crazy things he used to say
Now seems so profound
The slight touch of his fingers sent burning sensations to your body
And when the warmth left
You felt empty and lost
And for the moment you knew
One plus one equals one
You and him equals love.
