STOLEN MOONLIGHT
03-30-03
for my snow and coffee
I saw a crane on the park
It looked so forlorn and pale
It settled on the bench until dark
Until snow fell like intense hail
And later that day I noticed
It was looking at a guy sitting near
The crane seemed to fell into an abyss
When the man set off turning its rear
The next day the crane was still there
Still waiting, for the one who incarcerated its heart
Then the man came with his coffee colored hair
He seated on the bench, and waited until dark
The moonlight came and the crane wished
To have the figure it longs for, a human
Even if it will only last for some time, the moon granted its request
The crane became a girl, and approached her man
They fell in love and seized each other
They said these things without any falter
"We've got the whole stolen moonlight together
Why won't we do the things while no one else will bother?"
They might be living in their invented sweet dreams
Someday, they might realize things are not like what it seems
Everything might go back to nothing
The endeavor, the memories, and even the love
But even if they would have to live in hell
They'll take the consequences to refurbish what might have been left
