Hello! Captain Merrick here, (hehe). This is my Ghosts story, Hopefully, it will live up to your expectations! Alright, that's all I got to say for now.

You had to open up that door

It's never gonna be the way it was before

So what do we fight for?

And do we always have to even up that score?

(Fire with Fire- The Letter Black)

ODIN Strike.

Those words would be forever implanted in my head. I could remember that day as if it were yesterday. Every single detail, sight, feel, and even smell, had branded itself into my mind, never to be forgotten, never to fade away. Since ODIN, we always ended up remembering the things we needed to forget, and we always forgot, what needed to be remembered.

We've always had the power, but not anymore. All we had, was each other. We were Ghosts, fighting for something that can't be killed. Soldiers stand against their enemies, but Ghosts, they haunt them.

In the ten years after ODIN was turned on America and destroyed us, we fought the Federation to a bloody stalemate. We fought hard, we fought well. They played good games, but we, we played them even better.

My name is Allison Nicole Walker, but Allie was just fine for me. I was the baby sister of David and Logan Walker, daughter of Elias Walker, mom, well. Mom was a different story. She left dad, gave him a "Dear John" letter, and up and left us. She couldn't handle dad being away all the time. But she never came back or tried to see how her three kids were holding up either. Oh yea, it hurt. But as time passed, we moved on and we didn't need Mom anymore.

I made a fine soldier. Years of training side-by-side with Hesh and Logan, it had done me well. I mean, to be honest, I can't remember a time when we weren't training for something. We would out in the woods, for days on end. If you've ever heard of Hell Week, then this was more like a Hell Year. It sounds bad, I know, but it was what we wanted. Dad told us we could quit at any time, get some fast food, and just sit there and pig out in front of the TV. But no, us three, we wanted more. Out there, we learned to guard each other, to hunt, speak without speaking, dad always wanted to know what we learned, and we told him. We never forgot what we learned.

And eventually it led to us becoming Ghosts. But, if we knew, if any of us knew, what would happen, if we knew that any of this would happen, any of it, then I'm pretty sure none of us would have been so eager to become a Ghost. Maybe, it ODIN never happened, everything would still feel normal. And I would still have my family with me.

Ok! Rather short for a chapter on but it is a prologue, so, do you like it?
