Probably not the first Alternate Ending to 'The short second life of Bree Tanner' but I couldn't just take that ending -so here goes...

Everything is the same as in the books until just before the Volturi arive to kill Bree and so - erm well they don't.

Chapter 1

The blonde vampire with the scars starred at me for a while. "No" he said to the other one they called Carlisle.

"If we keep her here we are all going to be in danger. The Volturi won't understand and we will be in enough trouble explaining why Bella is still human."

"We can not kill her, Jasper." the one with the wavy brown hair said softly.

"She is still just a child."

The scar marked one, Jasper sighed.

"There is not much time left." I heard the small dark haired vampire say quietly. She was standing besides Jasper now, touching his arm slightly. Her eyes seeemed to try and convince him to do something. Then, all of a sudden she smiled, as if she already knew what was going to happen next. The one they called Jasper sighed again. "Whitch." he murmered so quietly I could barely hear it.

The dark haired girl smiled and turned to Carlisle and my brown haired protector. "We will hide her until later. Jasper and I are going with her."

"Won't they be suspicious were you are?" a new voice came from one end of the clearing and a strange yearning was building up in my throat. I feld Jaspers grip tighten around my upper arm, while he black haired vampire girl shook her head. "Jane will be pleased not to see me and they didn't bring Aro so they won't be able to know." Her words didn't make any sence to me but I understood that they were risking a lot to protect me. Me. The one they didn't even know. Bevore I could think about this for longer the burning in my throat make me ache again. I threw my head around starring directly at the aim of my pain. She was standing next to the newly appeared vampire at the end of the clearing. He held her in his arms and she looked back at me without fear. Human. The human. The one I had been told to want, the one I had been trained to want. The one I wanted.

"Come along now." Jasper told be harshly. He kept my left arm in a fierce grip while the dark haired girl reached out for my hand instead. She held it tightly as well, but it felt different from his grip. The way she was pressing my hand was nearly reasuring, friendly. It gave me something to keep my mind of the delicious smell of that human girl. She was being friendly to me. Maybe even wanted to be my friend someday. I Shook my head considering that ridiculous thought, but than I lingered again. What if she did? There was so much I didn't know so much I had to learn, but for now I only had to do one thing.

"Run." They said in unity. So I ran.
